Shade Sail Shadecloth Specifications
For our product we are using the finest high quality material sourced from Australia. Our shade clothes are Polyfx® , what are made from the highest quality virgin HDPE (High-density polyethylene) that blocks the heat from the Sun and combined with the latest UV stabilizers from BASF (is a European chemical company and the largest chemical producer in the world) which provides maximum people protection against strong ultraviolet rays.
HPDE Benefits include:
- Blocks up to 96% of harmful UV rays providing unbeatable protection while allowing air and water to pass though the mesh
- Lightweight, mold-resistant, and flame retardant.
- Allows heat to escape: area under the structure will be approximately 25% cooler under than a solid surface structure1
- 100% recyclable materials.
Apart from the strength of the knitted construction, the porous material allows the sail to “breathe” preventing the air below from getting insufferably hot. This means air can circulate through the fabric to create a substantially cooler atmosphere below. With the heat from the sun above and the cooler temperature underneath, the air is automatically drawn through the material.
